Humedica & Aid Pioneers: Medical Aid to Syria
In collaboration with Aid Pioneers’ Syrian partner Hand in Hand for Aid and Development, we have delivered one 40-ft container to 7 different healthcare institutions across Syria. The container contained medical supplies with a total value of $ 179,783.
In total, 74,849 individual medical items have been distributed, enabling an estimated 3,525 acute care bed days. The below map provides a visual overview of the current status of the medical aid distribution within our project.
In this project, humedica provided the majority of the funding, thereby enabling Aid Pioneers to conduct the partner and needs identification in Syria, manage the procurement and shipment of the items, and all data management and reporting. Aid Pioneers also provided co-financing.
Together, we are delivering vital aid where it is needed most and live up to our shared commitment to improve healthcare in Syria.
