§ 1 General
(1) This auction is organized as a charitable art auction by Aid Pioneers e.V. The artists sell the artworks in their own name and on their own account. Aid Pioneers e.V. provides the platform, organizes the event, and may receive the purchase price payment in the capacity of an authorized receiving agent.
(2) The auction is conducted between the artists (or, by way of exception, between Aid Pioneers e.V. for lots 7, 12, 13, 16 & 30, Galerie Watson for lots 4, 11, 20 & 27, Galerie Judith Andreae for lot 18, Stay Raus GmbH for lot 9, and Galerie Office Impart for lot 17). A detailed overview of the contracting party for each lot is provided in § 3 para. 1 of these Terms and Conditions.
(3) The auctioneer acts as representative of the artists and galleries (or of Aid Pioneers e.V. for lots 7, 12, 13, 16 & 30, of Stay Raus GmbH for lot 9, and of Galerie Office Impart for lot 17). The auctioneer awards the lot in the name and on account of the respective artist or gallery (or of Aid Pioneers e.V. for lots 7, 12, 13, 16 & 30, of Stay Raus GmbH for lot 9, and of Galerie Office Impart for lot 17). The purchase contract is concluded exclusively between the artist, the gallery, or (in the case of lot 9) Stay Raus GmbH, and the highest bidder. Aid Pioneers e.V. does not become a contracting party with the purchaser unless expressly indicated. A detailed overview of the contracting party for each lot is provided in § 3 para. 1 of these Terms and Conditions.
(4) Aid Pioneers e.V. is authorized to receive payments in the name and on behalf of the artist.
(5) Auction proceeds may, at the free discretion of the artists – regardless of the sale – be voluntarily donated to Aid Pioneers e.V. Such donations are separate from the purchase contract and do not constitute consideration for the acquisition of the artwork. There is no entitlement to a donation or tax-deductible donation receipt if the requirements of § 10b EStG (German Income Tax Act) are not met.
(6) These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the auction. They are published online at https://aidpioneers.com/events/art-for-syria and, on October 8, 2025, by clearly visible display at Tom Reichstein contemporary (Stockmeyerstraße 41–43, Hall 4 J, 20457 Hamburg). By placing a bid, the purchaser accepts these Terms and Conditions as binding.
§ 2 Conduct of the Auction
(1) Participation in the online auction requires prior online registration via https://www.aidpioneers.com/art-for-syria-make-a-bid. Aid Pioneers e.V. reserves the right to reject registrations without stating reasons.
(2) The auction of an individual artwork begins with its call by the auctioneer, who may deviate from the order provided in the catalog. The starting price is set by the auctioneer upon call.
(3) Bids may be submitted in person in the auction room, in writing via online bids, or by telephone. The auctioneer may reject bids without stating reasons.
(a) Bids in the room are submitted by raising a hand. A contract is concluded by the auctioneer’s acceptance of the bid (“hammer fall”).
(b) Written online bids must be submitted via the form at https://www.aidpioneers.com/art-for-syria-make-a-bid and sent electronically to auction@aidpioneers.com. Written online bids are binding contractual offers. The opportunity to submit advance bids on the website constitutes a non-binding invitation to submit such an offer (invitatio ad offerendum). A contract is concluded by the auctioneer’s acceptance of the bid. If multiple written bids of the same amount are received for the same artwork, the first received bid shall prevail, provided no higher bid is made.
(c) Telephone bids are accepted by an Aid Pioneers e.V. staff member present in the auction room during the auction, who will submit the bid on behalf of the bidder in accordance with their instructions.
(d) Online and telephone bidders have the opportunity to view the works in advance during the public exhibition.
(4) Each bid must clearly identify the artwork, preferably by lot number, artist, and title. The lot is awarded if, after being called three times, no higher bid is made. Acceptance of the bid obliges the bidder to take delivery of the artwork and to pay the purchase price.
§ 3 Purchase Price and Payment
(1) The purchase price consists of the hammer price plus any applicable statutory value-added tax (VAT). For sales by artists and galleries, VAT is generally 7% under § 12 para. 2 no. 7c UStG. For sales by Aid Pioneers e.V. (lots 7, 12, 13, 16 & 30), 0% applies since Aid Pioneers is exempt from VAT under the small business regulation (§ 19 UStG). For artists subject to the small business regulation under § 19 UStG, no VAT is shown. The VAT obligation arises from the respective status of the artist and is indicated on the invoice.

(1)The artworks are sold in the condition they are in at the time of the hammer fall. They may be inspected during the exhibition or on the auction evening.(2)The descriptions in the auction catalog have been prepared to the best of knowledge and serve for information purposes. (3) The sellers of the artworks are liable to purchasers within the scope of statutory provisions, particularly under the rules of warranty for defects (§§ 434 ff. BGB).
(4) Any liability of the sellers beyond this—especially for ordinary negligence—is excluded, unless it concerns damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, or from breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations). Henri Haake (*1989, Lübeck) is a Berlin-based artist whose paintings and drawings explore the poetic rhythms of everyday life through a process shaped by memory, perception, and synthesis.Drawing from personal experience, observation, and art history, his work unfolds as a dialogue between past and present, the visible and the obscured. Layering, overpainting, and experimentation are central to his practice, with traces of earlier gestures and submerged forms emerging through the surface. Color plays a subtle yet powerful role—evoking a resonance that is felt more than seen. Beyond surface, it becomes a way of sensing: shaping mood, softening forms, and guiding emotional connection. Moving between the playful and the philosophical, Haake’s work creates layered spaces where the familiar becomes symbolic—inviting reflection on life and how we experience the world.
Haake has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe. Recent solo exhibitions include Bad Gateway at Obelus, Berlin and Floating Worlds at Galeria Nave, Lisbon (2024), as well as OMG at Office Impart, Berlin and DREAMLINER at Galerie Mikael Andersen, Copenhagen (2023). He has also taken part in group exhibitions such as Tide & Traces (duo show with Sungjung Lee) at Studio Hanniball, Berlin (2025, Berlin Art Week), TOURIST at Salon am Moritzplatz, Berlin (2024), SHUDDER MORNINGS at Cabin, Berlin (2024), and Dammi i colori at Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, Lisbon (2023). Previous exhibitions include GOING PLACES at Nicole Gnesa, Munich (2022) and AT A MOMENT IN TIME at Kunstverein Arnsberg (2021). Haake is represented by Office Impart in Berlin and Galeria Nave in Lisbon.

Caroline Kryzecki (*1979, Wickede/Ruhr) lives and works in Berlin. Kryzecki became known for her ballpoint pen drawings, in which she translates a digital malfunction into an analog production method. She primarily works on paper with a minimalist-conceptual approach but also creates site-specific installations. While on a fellowship at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Connecticut, Kryzecki began working with brush prints on point paper used in weaving. Repetition becomes the principle of deviation within an algorithmic system.
Kryzecki has exhibited at institutions including the British Museum in London, the Drawing Center in New York, the Overbeck Gesellschaft – Art Association Lübeck, the Kunsthalle Tübingen, the PEAC Museum in Freiburg, the Wilhelm Morgner Museum in Soest, the Kunstsammlung Gera, the Kunstverein Reutlingen, the Center of Contemporary Art in Torun, Poland, the Boros Foundation in Berlin, the David Nolan Gallery in New York, and Patrick Heide Contemporary Art in London. In addition to receiving numerous scholarships, Kryzecki's work was honored with the Valerie and Prof. Kurt M. Schulz-Schönhausen Award. She has participated in artist residencies at CCA Andratx in Spain, the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Connecticut, USA, and in Istanbul.

Maximilian Rödel (*1984, Braunschweig) is a Berlin-based painter known for his atmospherically dense, abstract oil paintings. His works traverse diverse color spectrums, formats, and realms of experience, taking the viewer on a journey through time and space. Despite their two-dimensionality, Rödel’s paintings unfold a tangible depth and a powerful pull. Through his art, we can “experience” events otherwise hidden from us.
His works are characterized by subtle color intensity and a seemingly floating presence. The paintings feel like “unfocused energy” that Rödel does not create but rather reveals. In doing so, he dissolves the boundaries between foreground and background, generating a sense of depth that invites the viewer into a meditative space.
His piece “Mermaid Thunderstorm” combines Rödel’s typical abstract painting style with an atmospheric, almost mystical visual language. The work evokes the power of an approaching storm seen from a mermaid’s perspective — a fusion of natural force, flowing movement, and unfathomable depth. The complex color transitions and dynamic composition create a meditative mood that draws the viewer into an almost trance-like state, inviting lingering and immersion.
Rödel completed his Master of Fine Arts under Walter Dahn (HBK Braunschweig), Thomas Zipp, and Robert Lucander (UdK Berlin). His works have been exhibited internationally in venues including Carvalho Park, New York (2023/2024), Art Cologne (2023), documenta 15, Kassel (2022), Johann König, Berlin, Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, Aachen (2021), Art Berlin (2017), Kunstverein Hannover (2013), and the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art (IMOCA) (2010).

Rolf Sachs (*1955 in Lausanne) combines sculpture, installation, photography, scenography and design in his work, moving between minimalism and surrealism. His main interest is in everyday objects, which he gives a playful and emotional dimension in order to scrutinise their meaning and function. Themes such as nostalgia, identity and transience run through his work, which has been shown worldwide in museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Sachs has lived in Rome since 2018; in 2025, the Kunsthalle Schweinfurt - his childhood home - dedicated a comprehensive retrospective to him with over 200 works from three decades.
Since the 1990s, he has worked intensively with light and created installations that create an atmosphere of intimacy and contemplation. The “Eingemachtes” edition was created in 2023 for the exhibition of the same name at Galerie Watson and comprises 23 numbered copies - an allusion to the exhibition year. Each work shows a fine art print with the silhouette of a light bulb, framed in a classic WECK jar. The glass, actually intended for preservation, becomes a container for a fragile idea that appears protected and at the same time is deprived of its function. The insolvency of the glass manufacturer shortly before the exhibition opened added an unexpected, documentary layer: the work becomes a symbol of preservation and loss, of memory, economic change and the fragility of culture.

Felix Kiessling (*1980, Hamburg) is a Berlin-based artist known for his conceptual work, often realized through land art, video art, and light or spatial installations. His practice bridges physical matter and phenomenology, while also reflecting on social constructs and their entanglement with the material world. From early on, Kiessling was driven by the dizzying sensation of standing on a giant planetary sphere with no scale, direction, or sense of up or down.
A former student of Olafur Eliasson and participant at the Institute for Spatial Experiments, Kiessling has exhibited his work—both solo and as part of the Berlin-based art collective Das Numen—at institutions around the world, including the Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin, Matucana 100 Santiago de Chile, Sprengel Museum Hannover, Weserburg Museum Bremen, Hamburger Bahnhof Berlin, Schinkel Pavillon Berlin, Deutsches Architektur Zentrum Berlin, as well as at Art Basel Cities Buenos Aires 2018, the 5th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art 2016, and the Marrakech Biennale 2012. In 2019, he was a guest lecturer at the University of Liechtenstein for the MA course "Exploring Landscape Studio" in the Faculty of Architecture.
Supported by the Public Art Fund of the City of Kiel and the HCOB Art Foundation for Schleswig-Holstein, he is part of Nukleus Kiel 2025. After receiving first prize in a public art competition, he will permanently install his project Schumann in the foyer of the German Environment Agency in Berlin in 2026. Kiessling is represented by Galerie alexander levy in Berlin.

Marta Djourina (*1991 , Sofia) is a Bulgarian-German artist based in Berlin. She studied Art History and Fine Arts, graduating as a master student at the Berlin University of the Arts in 2018. Her work has been shown internationally, including at the Berlinische Galerie, MNAHA Luxembourg, ICA Sofia, and Haus am Kleistpark. Her pieces are part of public collections such as the Berlinische Galerie and the Eskenazi Museum of Art (USA). She has received several awards, including the BAZA Award (2021), the Eberhard Roters Scholarship (2020), the EMOP Arendt Award (2025), and funding from the Alexander Tutsek Foundation.
Djourina’s practice moves between analog photography, performance, and painting. Light is her central medium – used as tool, trace, and subject. In her large-scale unique photograms, she draws with light across photo-sensitive paper, capturing fleeting gestures and movements. Her works explore the balance between precision and chance, technique and intuition. In projects like Glowing Attraction, she works with bioluminescent algae, whose natural glow is activated by motion and recorded on paper – a poetic reflection on the invisible and the question: do we, too, shine without knowing it?

Kerim Seiler (*1974, Bern) lives and works in Berlin and Zurich. He is widely known for his large-scale light installations in public spaces. IOU is originally a six-meter-wide, two-meter-high neon work. In English, "IOU" stands for "I owe you" – a casual acknowledgment of debt or obligation, much like a handwritten promissory note.
The original piece was first displayed on the rooftop of a major bank, and later installed, floating in front of the organ at St. Jakob's Church in Zurich. The new version, presented here, is a smaller edition designed for more intimate settings – both indoors and outdoors.
The letters are made from hand-blown silicate glass from Milan, known for its clarity and heat resistance. The tubes are filled with pure neon – a rare noble gas with atomic number 10. Contrary to common belief, real neon emits a warm orange glow (unlike typical “neon” lights, which often contain other gases). When electrified, the gas ionizes and glows without burning, unlike a conventional light bulb.
IOU carries multiple meanings: it can imply financial obligation, personal responsibility, gratitude, or even love. "I owe you my life" is a phrase of deep appreciation – almost a declaration of love. Visually, the letters IOU also echo the phrase "I LOVE U."
Thus, the work resonates differently depending on its setting – on a bank it reflects on economic systems and debt; in a church or private space, it evokes intimacy, thankfulness, and human connection.
Seiler studied in Geneva, Hamburg, and Zurich. His work has been shown internationally, including at Kunsthaus Zurich, Kunsthalle Mannheim, and the Museum Tinguely.

Verena Issel (*1982, Munich) lives and works in Berlin. Her expansive installations and works in various media appear humorous at first glance, but often contain a socio-critical subtext.
Issel studied fine art at HFBK in Hamburg - with Franz Erhard Walther and Michaela Mélian, among others - and Classical Philology at the University of Hamburg. She was a visiting professor at the HFBK in 2020. Her work has received numerous awards, most recently the Lothar Fischer Prize, and has been exhibited at the Kunsthalle Mannheim, the Bundeskunsthalle (Studio), the Museum Lothar Fischer and the Kunstverein Leipzig, among others.
The Oaxaca series of works was created during the artist's research stay in Mexico and reflects the colonial-historical significance of glass as a material. Glass was a symbol of colonial representation and power - in the form of colorful church windows or as glass beads with which colonial powers bought labor and political cooperation from indigenous societies. Today, Oaxaca is a popular tourist destination where plastic has become the dominant material.
Issel picks up on this change and transfers her reverse glass paintings onto foil rather than glass - a critical reflection on materials and their roles in new forms of cultural superimposition. Her works cite patterns and motifs from Oaxaca: architectural details, ornamental elements and everyday objects such as the red prickly pear, which is a recurring motif throughout the series. Finally, the large-format reverse glass painting on the window reverses the historical perspective: Where glass used to mark colonial dominance, it now opens up a critical view of cultural friction, appropriation and material symbolism.

Mischa Kuball (*1959 in Düsseldorf) is a conceptual artist who has been working with light as an artistic medium since 1977. His installations explore architectural spaces, scrutinise their social and political dimensions and reinterpret the symbolic impact of landmarks. Projects such as private light / public light (1998, São Paulo Biennial), greenlight (1999) in Montevideo or Refraction House (1994) in the Stommeln Synagogue illustrate his approach of understanding art as a form of intervention and dialogue. Major exhibitions such as Platon's Mirror (2011-2015), five planets (2015) and res.o.nant (2017-2019) at the Jewish Museum Berlin combine light, space and participation and invite viewers to become part of the work themselves. Kuball has been Professor of Public Art at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne since 2007, was awarded the German Light Art Prize in 2016 and his works are represented in numerous international collections.
Dunkle Kammer reflects Roland Barthes' concept from Die helle Kammer (1980) and inverts it. The location of the work - a camouflaged Swiss military shelter - refers to protection, hiding and latent threat. At the same time, the ‘dark chamber’ stands as a counter-image to photography: a space in which no image exists. Only one remaining light source dimly illuminates it - symbolising an interrupted enlightenment and the impending end of the Anthropocene. Nevertheless, hope remains as long as mankind talks about this end, philosophises and creates images.

Vincent Matuschka (*1993, Düsseldorf) is a London-based mixed-media artist who explores the contradictions of life. Through this lens, he poses fundamental questions about “actual truths”: What is life about? What do we want? What is right? Infused with humour and playfulness, his work challenges norms and pushes boundaries in the search for real meaning.
Using the aesthetics of bureaucracy, stereotypes, and formal structures, Matuschka frames seemingly safe and familiar spaces, only to reveal their cracks and contradictions. Working in series, he explores different ways of questioning and destabilising truth. While painting remains central to his practice, it is just one tool among many in the investigation of uncertainty and layered truth.
Since 2023, Matuschka has been developing a painting practice called “Spring of Life”, which expands each year with one to three small painting series. Spring of Life is a challenge confronting the innocence of life with its danger and complexity.
Matuschka completed his MFA at Goldsmiths University (2024) and his BFA at Chelsea College of Arts (2019–2022) and was a student of Daniel Richter in Vienna. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at London Art Services, Wild Trumpets, Saatchi Gallery, Lewisham Art House, and Gallery Descher. Matuschka is a founding member and Co-Director of London Art Services.

Hannah Parr (*1984, Bournemouth) is a British-Chinese artist who lives and works in Zurich. Parr’s practice currently centers on Hidden Home, an ongoing series in which she transforms red-and-white-striped construction-site barricade slats into artworks that explore themes of exclusion, obstruction, protection, the intersection of public and private spheres, self-renovation, glitches, and ritual. She saws the used slats from construction sites meticulously into thin slices and shapes, assembling them piece by piece, always beginning from the most basic mark: the line.
This method serves as an analogue for painting, replacing traditional brushes and paint with a table saw and pre-painted wooden slats. The contrast between slats from different places slats results in artworks that reflect the unique social circumstances of each location, effectively creating portraits of place.
By limiting the color palette to red and white, Parr paradoxically broadens the spectrum of possibilities and impressions her work evokes. Each weathered shade of red reveals a different span of time, with the contrast between a faded slat that has been in use for years and the smoothness of a newer one painting a picture of time elapsing.
This work invites contemplation on humanity’s continuous and inexhaustible efforts to build, expand, renovate, and reclaim, expressed through the reuse of materials embedded with layered histories and renewed importance. Simultaneously, it establishes a rigorous and intuitive inquiry into the essential dynamics of color and light, embodying a synthesis of introspection and material exploration.

At the core of Tamina Amadyar’s (*1989, Kabul) artistic practice lies a sustained fascination with color—not only as a visual element, but as a material with history, origin, emotion, and symbolic meaning. Her paintings evoke memories of landscapes while, through reduced forms and carefully balanced compositions, simultaneously pointing to the raw, tactile presence of pigment. In her work, color emerges as an archaic material, as an expression of the senses, and as a bearer of human experience—ranging from silence and stillness to restlessness or hope.
In her artistic language, Amadyar engages both with the tradition of Western painting and with her own cultural heritage. She explores the history of pigments and their cultural and political contexts within Western art history, from the Renaissance to the present. A particular focus lies on landscape painting and on the synergies between global human movement—through travel, trade, and migration—and the materiality of pigments, fabrics, and surfaces.
The work on paper atlantic X was created as part of a series of seascapes that Amadyar began during a residency on Fogo Island, Canada. As so often in her work, the light and openness of the pictorial surfaces play a decisive role in shaping the atmosphere of these pieces.
Tamina Amadyar studied with Tal R at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and was a visiting professor of painting at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe from 2018 to 2021. In 2022 she was awarded the ars viva Prize, which included an exhibition at the Brücke-Museum in Berlin. In Berlin, she is represented by the galleries Meyer Riegger and Guido W. Baudach. Lunita July Dorn (*1999, Berlin) has been studying at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin since 2020 under Friederike Feldmann. Everyday life and images of fantasy are inseparably interwoven in her mostly large-format acrylic paintings. With a deliberately loose painting style, she often portrays herself as the central figure on the canvas. Her works feature recurring symbols and objects that are part of her daily life, yet spring from her imagination. The paintings show her engaged in everyday activities such as drinking, smoking, and playing cards, but also exploring her inner emotional world. Through repeated overpainting, only fragments of various pictorial constellations remain in the final composition.
With “+ am Ende nicht vermissen”, the artist presented her first solo exhibition in 2024 at Galerie Judith Andreae in Bonn. That same year, she participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Unapologetic WomXn at Palazzo Bembo during the 60th Biennale di Venezia and Gegen den Strich – GEN Z in der Kunst at Schloss Sacrow near Potsdam. In autumn 2025, the artist will present solo exhibitions at Tanya Leighton Gallery in Berlin as well as Elektrohalle Rhomberg in Salzburg. Lunita July Dorn lives and works in Berlin.

Jeongmoon Choi (*1966 in Seoul) moves between installation, drawing and relief in her work. Using kilometre-long, elastic threads, she creates site-specific spatial drawings that glow under black light and transform the architecture into magical, almost virtual landscapes. This creates a field of tension between the fragility of the threads and the massive architecture that disappears in the dark - the boundary between the analogue and digital worlds seems to blur.
Overlapping lines create moiré effects that challenge perception and viewing habits and set static structures in motion. Her works visualise movements and bodies in space and invite viewers to actively move through the installation and constantly readjust their perspective.
After studying painting in Seoul, Choi moved to Germany, studied fine art in Kassel and has lived in Berlin since the early 2000s. Her works have been shown in numerous renowned museums and institutions worldwide, including the Centre for International Light Art Unna, the HOCA, Contemporary Art Foundation, Hong Kong and the Saatchi Gallery in London.

Starting from her own body, she uses multimedia works to examine how rituals, heroic figures, and monuments shape collective identity. She reuses remnants of past performances, rearranging and recontextualizing them. Her works challenge institutionalized remembrance and present memory as an ongoing, process-oriented act. Everyday materials like Euroboxes and tension straps bring the heroic down to earth, pointing to an unromanticized, physical understanding of art as labor.

Henrik Eiben creates multifaceted art works full of deliberate contradictions. Influenced by American minimalism, his paintings, works on paper and installations all evolved around a reduced vocabulary of geometric shapes. However their composition is not derived from mathematical systems, but rather develops intuitively. For his sculptures, he works with unorthodox materials, mixing fabrics ranging from fake leather to cashmere, felts or knitted wool with construction materials plus variety of painting techniques. The interaction between distinctly different mediums as well as highly contrasting color schemes give him an artistic freedom resulting in exceptionally engaging art works.
"When creating, I use my youth, my shyness, and sometimes the uncertainty. That is how in my process I arrive, discover, and react to the "unknown," the "new "or the "different." Improvisation is not any more "a part", it is the composition itself because as an artist, you learn that the process is a give and take.”
Henrik Eiben (*1975, Tokyo) lives and works in Hamburg. He studied at Academy of Visual Arts and Design Enschede, at Maryland institute Collage of Art Baltimore, and Graduated at State Academy of fine Arts Karlsruhe. Daniel Hörner (*1978, Stuttgart) lives and works in Hamburg. On the floor of his studio, he creates images that are equally influenced by chance, systematics, and manual directness. Using wax, pigments, Vaseline, and ballpoint pens, he shapes fragile visual worlds whose surfaces can be read as experimental setups—open to change, resistance, and movement.
Hörner’s artistic process usually begins on untreated canvas fabric. With a ballpoint pen, he draws lines, marks areas, shifts, and reworks—never final or complete. Like in an alchemical laboratory, he cooks, mixes, and tests his own colors and combinations. His compositions resemble landscape fields viewed from a bird’s-eye perspective—organized yet flexible, punctuated by breaks, shifts, and small irritations. His works do not present order but make it available for exploration.
The material remains perceptible throughout: the painting ground warps, fingerprints are visible, and the substances stay malleable—as if the image is still breathing. Minimalist placements are combined with gestural interventions, resulting in a painting that is neither purely abstract nor figurative. Hörner creates spaces of openness where perception, memory, and the present intertwine. His images are painted questions—free from didactic intent but full of resonant spaces for personal
Associations.
Daniel Hörner studied at the Muthesius Art College until 2009. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions, most recently at the Kunstverein Marburg, Galerie Nina Mielcarczyk in Leipzig, Galerie Herold in Hamburg, and Kunstverein Schwerin. His artistic work is part of several collections, including the Harald Falckenberg Collection and the Federal Art Collection.

Georg Haberler (*1985, Graz) lives and works in Vienna. His artistic practice moves between painting, drawing, and textile-based media, merging figuration with abstract systems to create dense and visually charged compositions. Known for his use of embroidered thread on unprimed canvas and linen, Haberler creates layered images in which animals, objects, and structures interact with a logic that is both painterly and symbolic.
A central concern in his work is the relationship between image and surface. By painting the reverse side of the canvas and allowing the dyed threads to surface on the front, Haberler inverts traditional hierarchies of foreground and background. His compositions blend graphic, painterly, and sculptural elements, resulting in tactile works that resist easy categorization.
In his most recent works, Haberler is increasingly exploring sculptural and spatial dimensions within the embroidery process, as he expands the embroidery to cover the entire surface of the composition. This approach intensifies the physical presence of the thread and shifts the works closer to three-dimensional objects, marking a deepening of his engagement with the materiality of the image.
Haberler has exhibited widely throughout Europe. Notable recent exhibitions include Kleiner Fuß im großen Schuh (Jo Van De Lo Gallery, Munich, 2024 and participation in major fairs such as Art Düsseldorf and Spark Art Fair in Vienna. In 2025, he will present a new solo exhibition with Weserhalle in Berlin and a series of new works at Art Cologne. He holds a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Hannah Bohnen (*1989, Duisburg) lives and works in Berlin. Her sculptures, surfaces, and installations arise from the desire to capture fleeting moments of everyday life – movements whose beauty would otherwise fade in passing. Lines translate familiar gestures such as doodles, strokes, and signatures into glass: drawn by hand, shaped in heat, and frozen at the very moment of motion, they become three-dimensional forms that capture light and hover like breaths in time.

Margareta Hesse (*1956 in Duderstadt) has developed a diverse artistic language - based on painting and working with translucent materials - that encompasses object art, painting, laser installations and video works. She now lives and works in Berlin. Margareta Hesse studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was a professor for the fundamentals of artistic design and artistic projects at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
She has received several awards for her work, including the Art Prize of the City of Hamm, the Berlin-Charlottenburg/Wilmersdorf district, the Darmstadt Secession and the Hoesch Artist Scholarship for the ‘Werkkunst’ project in Dortmund.
The intensive exploration of light and translucency in her layered paintings led to her work with pure light in space in 2008 - the development of her first laser installations, which evolved into walk-in, expansive installations and light sculptures. Since then, she has realised these in ever new variations in important national and international projects, such as the Reservatório da Patriarcal in Lisbon (Portugal), the Light Art Biennale in Mantua (Italy) and the international light art project ‘INTERFERENCE’ in Tunis (Tunisia). In 2023, the Centre for International Light Art (ZfIL) in Unna and the Centre for Contemporary Art (ZAK) in Berlin dedicated institutional solo exhibitions to her. Her works are represented in numerous public and private collections, including the Ministry of Culture Düsseldorf, the Gustav-Lübcke-Museum Hamm, the ZfIL Unna and the Kunstmuseum Ahlen.
